The Pink Warrior Dash is fast approaching (THIS FRIDAY) and we need many volunteers to make race day a success. We will need volunteers to assist on the course at each obstacle, to hold class signs at each classes’ starting point and to hand out waters.
Please sign up for as many shifts as you like and remember your child will be running during their specials time on that day, so you may wish to sign up for a different time slot than your child’s race time.
Kicking off with Pep Rally Friday, October 14, the 2016 Pink Fundraiser begins! So much fun to look forward to while supporting our elementary school equipment, student opportunities, programs and more. Lots of info available under the tab “2016 Warrior Dash” and regular updates and reminders on our PTA Facebook Page.
Summertime is winding down and Pink Elementary is buzzing with activity.
Time to Mark Your Calendars:
By August 12th: Deliver your proof of residency (current water, electric or gas bill) to the office at Pink, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please make sure to add your student’s name to the bill to make it easier for office staff to reference your paperwork. You may also email a copy of your proof of residency to Mrs. Richardson, Data Clerk, [email protected]. Required by Aug. 12 so that your student will be assigned to a homeroom classroom.
Now: Join PTA! The Membership Form is here for your convenience. Complete a Volunteer Interest Form to receive information directly to you for the opportunities you choose. You will not miss a chance to lend a helping hand! Complete the required FISD Background Check in order to volunteer on any FISD campus. Take a few minutes to click on each of these links and complete the forms. You will be on your way to being prepared for the coming school year!
August 18th: You will receive a phone call and an email from your student’s homeroom teacher! This school year, FISD will not post a class list due to individual student privacy.
August 19th: The PTA Spirit Store will be open 8:00-9:00 am and 5:00-6:00 pm in the Pink Cafeteria. This is a great opportunity to purchase your spirit wear as well as join PTA while giving you plenty of time to meet your teacher! How easy is that?!
We will promptly close at 6:00 pm so that our volunteers can also meet their teachers. Thank you for your support!
August 19th: Meet the Teacher Night from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. If you purchased a school supply pack, your student’s pack will be in their homeroom class room. If you didn’t, please bring your supplies with you that night.
