A Note of Thanks

Healthapalooza Week was a huge success!

During this fun-filled week, we hosted several activities promoting health and wellness including: our first ever Wellness Challenge, Walking Wednesday, our second annual Healthapalooza Health & Science Fair, and Eating Around the Rainbow, just to name a few! Special thanks to all of the parent volunteers who helped plan and execute these events and to our wonderful cafeteria staff for preparing the fruit and vegetable offerings. Words cannot adequately express how appreciative we are of everyone who participated. We hope you found this to be a fun and informative week!

On behalf of the Pink Elementary Whole Child Committee, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the following organizations and local area businesses that participated in our second annual Healthapalooza Health & Science Fair. This event, and Healthapalooza Week as a whole, was the incredible success it was due to their generosity and the time and effort they put forth to make this a fun and interactive educational experience for our Pink students and their families.

Nominate Pink’s 2016-17 TX PTA Lifetime Member

Since 1909, the Texas PTA has made available the honorary Texas Life Membership as one of the highest honors that may be presented to individuals for outstanding service to children and youth.  It is awarded to a person whose dedication to both Pink Elementary School and our community goes above and beyond.  Nominees can be parents, teachers or community members who have served our school and/or community.

Life Members will be recognized this spring at a Pink PTA Meeting as well as attend a reception that honors PTA Life Membership awards for the 2016-17 school year.  Do you know someone that you’d like to nominate?  Please take some time to consider someone who you feel has had an impact on our students and nominate them for this high honor!
